I create art works using observations and photography of people and places, looking at relationships, conflicts, personal interactions and the spaces which we inhabit. The content and the production processes of my works challenge the viewer creatively and philosophically.

Re-working photographs using digital imaging and manipulation by hand, mainly through expressive mark making, using painting techniques onto photographs I have taken, I blur the boundaries between art and photography creating works of beauty and contemplation.

Following graduation, I have worked as a self-employed artist and creative photographer and I have worked extensively with individuals and groups in art activities within the health sector and through commissions at social events, such as music festivals and arts trails, engaging revellers in creative activities. I am also actively involved with collaborative art groups and continue to exhibit my work nationally and internationally.

The enjoyment of working with others has led me to continue my own professional development and work towards a Professional Graduate Diploma in Teaching and I currently works with A Level students, studying Art and photography at NCN at The Lace Martket in Nottingham. I have also assisted in the Phototgraphy department at Bilborough College in Nottingham

I am a creative and inspirational Artist, who can bring energy and enthusiasm to a creative learning environment and encourage learners to recognise their own creative talents, which will enhance their learning experience not only in art and photography, but also other areas of study or personal development. I am available for one to one tutoring or group workshops.

My work is available to purchase and I welcome the opportunity to work towards commissions.
