|My bold and high contrast style of painting dares to transform a transient memory and emotion into a striking statement. Using old family super 8 movies as inspiration my work often reflects the struggles and hopes of childhood. The stencilled words show the desire to express oneself without always being able to do so. The relation between this graphic element and the painted image invites the viewer to join into a discussion.|
Painting for me is a journey back to a non-communicative childhood and a way to reinvent and find higher meaning in the Now.
"You Try, You Fail, You Try, You Fail. But The Only True Failure is When You Stop Trying."
I paint in acrylics and oils.
