I am a lampwork artist and jewellery designer, specialising in glass and fine silver. I work from my studio on the Kent coast where I create flame-worked art glass collections and sculptural fine silver pieces.
Having been torn between art and science all of my life, up until a few years ago, art took a back seat as I followed my career as a research scientist. The creative side was never far away though and I built on my skills in the interim.
For the last few years, I have been designing and creating art jewellery and have a following in the United States, in addition to clients all over England and Europe. Some of my Goddess beads are in collections.
Inspiration can come from something as simple as a shadow or reflection to a complex scene or animal. Shape, colour and balance are the most important aspects of my work. Goddess beads have become an increasingly important part of my work as an artist and hold special significance for me.
I am the vice chair of the Glass Bead Makers UK (GBUK) society, a member of the SRAJD and also of The Guild of Jewellery Designers.
