My practice encompasses a wide range of media including drawing, painting, mixed media, sculpture and traditional craft skills. Often using ethnographic artifacts as my starting point I make work that explores the transformative power of art to question political and social issues in contemporary society. Combining my craft skills and a dark sense of humour I focus upon the female, making my own interpretations of femininity that connect contemporary women to those of the ancient world. |
