|My work is about stories, dreams, memories and identity. The creation of identity and its manifestation as a fluid and porous thing drives much of what I do.|
To capture reality, sometimes you have to tell a story. I often use the motifs of fairy tales, myth and folklore alongside abstract elements or shapes to create an open-ended story.
An important aspect of my work is the tension between the apparent and the inferred, disorder and order, background and foreground.
I am constantly delighted, shocked, saddened, gladdened and, above all, curious about the world around me and the people that inhabit and shape it.
