Celebrating Sophie

Sophie is an exceptional artist, she is also transgender. I wanted to paint her at this point on her journey , despite her emerging femininity, she still has a slight masculinity about her.
Sophie chose the outfit and accessories for this sitting, the painting has a quiet vulnerability about it which I love.
