St Dorothy and Minerva

This is a large watercolour/gouache.135 x 80 cms . Its based on St Dorothy who is the patron saint of gardening . When she was executed for refusing to marry a pagan , she was decapitated . When she re emerged as a saint a small child brought her a gift of roses and apples in a basket.
The other person is Minerva ,goddess of creativity , medicine and poetry
