This work looks at the dynamics of vitality versus frailty; exploring the notion that we operate as human spirits in transient fleshy fragile vessels, the series was made in response to long periods of looking after my elderly, ailing mother. The mermaid image is sailing through a sea of diseased cells....Canvas, watercolour, acrylic.
