My paintings are built up in layers of paint. Layers have become increasingly significant in my work. Layers can represent many things, layers in the landscape, emotion, life,time, to name but a few. In this painting, the journey, culminating in the arrival at the seafront, with all the exciting colours, and the prospect of a bright and happy day.
