Space and Form within a Tree

A carving in marble and other limestones. I made a detailed drawing of branches of a cedar tree, then focussed on the varied and ambiguous nature of the spaces between the shapes. The sculpture
incorporates aspects of this, with the spaces transposed into solid forms.
