A few short years ago, people could upload their artwork onto websites like this with care-free abandon ... I think those days are over.

AI uses bots to download (for free) images from sites like this to train on, and make derivative works from. This is great for the AI companies, but very bad news for artists who now see the value of their work plummet.

I have seen a few ideas to protect art from bots by introducing tiny patterns in the pixel data that they hope will confuse the AI bots. I think this will only work for a while when the AI bots get updated.

I hope to offer a few solutions below.

Some have suggested putting special invisible patterns in each image to confuse the AI bots. I doubt this will work for long as bot software improves.

I do have a few ideas on how to protect artist from AI bots and will be exploring them on another art site
